However, they are the same!Īside from being a key ingredient in desserts and baked goods, does heavy cream have any other benefits for cooking? I will answer all of your questions in this part! An Overview Of Heavy Cream (Heavy Whipping Cream) ![]() Some people think that heavy cream and heavy whipping cream are two kinds of cream. Heavy Cream (Heavy Whipping Cream) 101 – The Richest Fat Cream When you want to store them, make sure to cover a tight sealed container or box for all these types of cream to prolong their shelf life. Preservation MethodĪs you can see, these creams can be kept in the refrigerator for around a week. Notice for you is to check the amount of sugar to ensure your choice is suitable for your Keto diet. Also, you are not worried about hypotension due to a lack of glucose while dieting. That is why using all four creams for the keto diet will help you limit sugar intake. I also suggest preparing keto dishes with an air fryer for an even healthier lifestyle.Īs you may know, the primary purpose of the Keto diet is to help your body metabolize fat content to xeton, a kind of energy that maintains our daily activities without sugar support. So go ahead and incorporate it in your meal. Although these creams are made from milk, they all provide you with an actual amount of fat content and vitamins but are low in carbs.įor instance, although cheesy cauliflower might sound like a huge indulgence, the truth is that it’s actually an ideal side dish for keto diets. Heavy cream (heavy whipping cream), whipping cream, and half & half are prepared from milk (dairy or whole milk) despite their different fat content. The Similarities Of These Must-Have Creamsīefore going to the mystery of each type of cream, I think it is better to point out some similarities between them. If you’re looking for a fast reel for northern pike, salmon, or muskies, the Size 40 may not be big enough to handle them. Other than that, the only potential drawbacks come down to usage. It never happened while I had a fish on the line, but if it did it could have been tragic. It took a little bit of surgery to get it free. The braid got wrapped around the area underneath the spool, and when I kept reeling, suddenly it was caught under there. When using limp braided main line on several occasions I must’ve left too much slack after a cast or during a choppy retrieve. When the spool is fully extended away from the body, there is a substantial gap. The only problem I had with this reel was probably one of user error. Despite being light, this reel feels solid. With all of that speed, historically something has to give, usually cranking power or drag efficiency, but I winched decent-sized bass out from the deepest depths of boathouses, around pilings, and through brush without any slippage. I’d be likely to use something slower in the cold weather months, when fish tend to be more lethargic. But, 7.6:1 is still in a sweet spot where it can be used for those techniques. I’ve found that the fastest baitcasting reels-those in the 8:1 to 10:1 range-are simply too speedy for moving baits like spinnerbaits or crankbaits. Furthermore, when a hard-charging fish comes directly at the boat, it enables the angler to make up ground quickly and keep the line taut, which prevents lost fish. If you’re making a lot of casts in a day, the cumulative savings should produce more fish over the course of a year-it’s not always discernible how many, but the savings exists. The additional speed is a time-saver.Ī post shared by Outdoor Life Gear it helps even more when you have a lot of line out, like dropshotting in 40 feet of water or making long casts with a shakey head on gently sloping points. Would I have been able to do that with a 6.2:1 reel? Possibly, but there’s no guarantee. I got it back into the boat quickly, rerigged, and had the lure back in the sweet spot while the bass was still hot and bothered. When I fished with OL’s gear editor, Scott Einsmann, I had a bedding bass swipe at a soft plastic stick bait and mess up the rig. Obviously, in that case faster is better. The goal is to get the lure out there into the strike zone, see if there’s a willing taker, and then get it back in for another cast. Most of the spinning applications I utilize are presentations where the rod does most of the lure manipulation-dropshots, wacky worms, Ned Rigs. The 7.6:1 gear ratio is a sweet spot for a wide range of techniques. I tried it with various line combinations, including 8-pound test fluorocarbon, 10-pound test copolymer, and both 10- and 15-pound test braided main lines with fluorocarbon leaders of various lengths and strengths. It balanced well with a number of medium-light to medium-heavy rods already in my possession and I was anxious to get it out on the water. ![]() Still, I have to admit to being wowed when pulling this reel out of the package. Also, if you get tired by a day of casting a reasonably light spinning outfit, you need to go back to the gym. On some past reels where manufacturers have tried similar strategies, the result has been all sorts of sharp edges and nooks and crannies that catch both line and fingers in awkward ways. I’m all for stripping away weight where possible, but not at the expense of strength or function. It’s right on par with the Shimano Stella (7.4 ounces) and Daiwa Certate (7.4 ounces) at more than $200 cheaper than the Daiwa and $600 cheaper than the Stella. The size 30 RKT weighs in at a light 7.6 ounces, which a generation ago would have been unthinkable. ![]() They also look somewhat like the company’s premium Zenon models, which cost over $500 apiece, more than twice as much as the RKT. ![]() The site’s informal society grew out of its relative newness and the shared collective experience of adjusting to the tricky requirements of pulling off a social media message in under six seconds. And its insider-only community continued to keep outsiders at bay even as the site grew more accessible. ![]() The site’s web platform didn’t even launch until 2014, and by then Vine had established, through its technological insularity, a unique and iconoclastic culture. And since its community skewed heavily toward teen and preteen users, many of them black, it frequently looked like no other social media platform on the internet. Filming and editing a six-second video from their phones was an intuitive act for them, and meant they were able to quickly adapt to the site and create a unique culture largely generated by the novelty of the early Vine experience. Vine’s initial crop of users were theoretically the golden eggs of internet advertising: They were young and constantly mobile. If early viral Vine videos seemed to randomly appear in your various social media timelines without context or explanation, it was because they had been plucked from their natural habitat - the mobile side of the internet - and placed on your laptop. You could watch a Vine loop if it showed up somewhere else, like Twitter or Facebook, or in a YouTube compilation of Vines on a particular theme, but there was no way to navigate to Vine and just browse through a bunch of videos, the way you can with YouTube. Vine launched in 2012, and for the first two years of its existence, you couldn’t even access it from a computer without having a Vine account. For many people, that put it in the category of “social media you’re too old to use.” The most common comment about Vine from non-users seems to be, “I just don’t get Vine,” and there’s a very practical reason for that: Being a mobile-only app was one of Vine’s most defining features, and meant the service was closed off to many internet users loyal to their desktop and laptop devices. ![]() ![]() Vine’s outward inaccessibility and technological quirks made it a completely unique internet space But Vine’s demise isn’t just a business lesson it’s a cultural loss for all of us, and especially for the millions of black social media users who’ve spent the past four years making Vine into a much-needed, critically important safe space. The reasons for this decline are multifaceted - a mix of changing company goals, stagnating audience reach, and perhaps even the simple fact that Vine’s users have grown up faster than Vine itself. The platform reportedly had 200 million active users as recently as October 2015, with 30 million of those users in the US, but throughout 2016 various reports have said the site was in decline (along with Twitter itself). While this news might come as a shock to Vine’s loyal fans, industry insiders probably could have seen it coming. Without giving a specific timeline, the company stated on Thursday that sometime “in the coming months” it will be discontinuing its video uploader but preserving, at least for now, the millions of videos that already exist on the website. Vine, Twitter’s unorthodox six-second, mobile-only video app, is shutting down. Now, I hit the diamond for Position to set a keyframe. Hitting the back arrow will take you to the first position. ![]() It is the development of these contradictions, through negativity, that will take them all the way to the highest and most concrete forms in their respective scientific analyses. Hegel and Marx are both quick to show how these beginnings, chosen by some because they bear the superficial mark of immediacy, harbor within them irreconcilable contradictions. Likewise, to begin an analysis of the capitalist mode of production with the commodity as an “elementary form” is to begin from the most seemingly concrete-but, in fact, most abstract- point of departure. Right away, however, Hegel shows us how this “bare fact of certainty… is really and admittedly the abstractest and poorest kind of truth”. There, Hegel begins his examination of the phenomenal development of consciousness from its apparently most concrete form: Sense-Certainty. I have come to realize that this starting point bears more than a coincidental resemblance to Hegel’s own in the Phenomenology of Spirit. ![]() Marx begins his analysis of the “wealth of societies in which the capitalist mode of production prevails” with what appears to be (but is in fact not) the most concrete form distinguishable therein-the commodity. Reading Capital in Light of Hegel’s Dialectic I wish below to briefly examine two aspects of Capital and Marxism in general that are greatly illuminated by the reading of Hegel, particularly the Phenomenology of Spirit and the Science of Logic: (1) the dialectical structure of Marx’s critique, and (2) the difference between abstract and concrete negativity. I surmise that its importance was all the more apparent to me given that my introduction to Marx was not the Communist Manifesto (as is usually the case with most contemporary readers), but rather Erich Fromm’s Marx’s Concept of Man. ![]() This question has fascinated me since I first encountered Marx six years ago. Where some (in the Structuralist and Analytical camps) have seen a complete rejection of Hegel, others (in the broadly “Western” and Humanist camps) have seen an important continuity between the two thinkers. Much has been made of these remarks on Marx’s relationship to Hegel, as well as of that relationship simpliciter. And yet Marx also goes on to call himself a “pupil of that mighty thinker ,” and says that the “mystification which the dialectic suffers in Hegel’s hands by no means prevents him from being the first to present its general forms of motion in a comprehensive and conscious manner,” calling the “rational kernel” inherent in Hegel’s dialectic “critical and revolutionary”. With Marx we have a materialist dialectic wherein the Idea is a “reflection” of the real world rather than its creator. On the contrary, Marx tells us that the dialectic in Hegel-based on the journey and self-development of the Idea, of which the world is a result or “external appearance”-is exactly the opposite of his own. It is not, however, a direct application of the Hegelian dialectic. Marx says in his Postface to the second edition of Volume 1 of Capital that his method is none other than the dialectic. Lenin, Conspectus of Hegel’s Science of Logic “It is impossible completely to understand Marx’s Capital, and especially its first chapter, without having thoroughly studied and understood the whole of Hegel’s Logic.Consequently, half a century later none of the Marxists understood Marx!” This article originally appeared in May of 2008 in Marxist-Humanism Today, the online publication of the now-defunct Marxist-Humanist Committee. ![]() Analyzed the User Stories and prepared detailed test cases for new Functionality.Followed Agile methodology, Participated in Sprint planning, Review Sessions & Scrum Meetings and developed Test scenarios, Test cases, Test data, Test procedures, Test reports.MS Office Tools: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Accessĭatabases/Database tools: SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, SQLĭefect Tracking Tools: HP ALM/Quality Center, JIRA, Bugzilla, Rally Operating System: Windows, Unix, Linux, IOS, Android OSīrowsers: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari Web services: Ready API, SOAPUI PRO, SOAP UI, Postman Version Control Tools: GitHub, SVN, Bitbucket Web Technologies: HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript Test Build & Integration Tools: Maven, Jenkinsįrameworks: Keyword Driven, Data Driven, Hybrid Driven, Page Object Model (POM), Page Factory Testing Tools: Selenium WebDriver, Selenium IDE/RC, Selenium Grid, Cucumber, TestNG, Junit ![]() Test Approaches: Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, SDLC, STLC, Bug life Cycle ![]()
